2018 NFL Mock Draft

2018 NFL Mock Draft

The DraftBlaster site is one of my favorite sports related websites as it does a great job covering the NFL Draft. It is focused on one topic, and tries to add in depth analysis to all aspects of the draft.

Note from their home page:

Notes: During the 2018 NFL Preseason, DraftBlaster will be posting weekly updates to our 2018 NFL Mock Draft. Early mock drafts are based on very broad strokes, and we don’t assign a high priority to matching players with team needs. As it looks now, there is a lot of talk that this is a much better quarterback class than last year, but the quarterbacks picked early in last year’s draft are performing quite well to this point. Another strong position in the 2018 NFL Draft should be offensive tackle, where again there was a weak class in the previous year.
The DraftBlaster 2018 NFL Mock Draft will add a second round when we get closer to the season. This again will be focused primarily on player rating rather than a strong focus on matching team needs to each player.  Until then, we will feature stats from last year, and continue to display links to analysis from last year’s draft.  As we learned from last season, it will take until the first quarter of the 2018 NFL season is complete to shift focus to matching players to teams.  This allows not only the NFL season to develop, but also for the draft class to start to come into focus in terms of player ratings.

New Health Site - Shareforhealth.com

Health and Wellness

I have posted a lot of articles on my book, and now starting to share cool info I find on the web that I think would be useful.  I have recently discovered an amazing health and wellness online community called www.shareforhealth.com.  The site is in a question and answer format, and is totally free.  I see topics ranging from general health, men's health, women's health, diets, nutrition, to cancer questions, symptoms, recovery questions, diabetes, allergies, and much more.

One thing I really liked is that I didn't even have to register, I just used my Facebook profile to login. You can use use Facebook, Google, Instagram, and a few other social media tools for this.  Also, it seems you can submit your articles or blog posts if you have that... and even link it back to your own site, which really helps out other health and wellness and medical blogs.

I am going to start telling people about it to maybe build up a lot of info on sports related health and injuries.  This would include nutrition, recovery, and info on the latest fad diets.

I highly suggest this health and wellness community, www.shareforhealth.com

Pay Attention - Excerpts from "Roberts Rules!"

Pay Attention - Excerpts from "Roberts Rules!"

Every very successful person can name the project that made the difference in his or her life -- the make-it-or-break-it deal.  When you're getting into that kind of project, you've got to learn how to pay attention.  I mean full, total focus.  That's all you do.  That's all you think about.  That's your only goal.

Day and night, eat, sleep, and breathe your goal.  If you aren't willing to give this venture all your attention, time, and energy, it probably won't happen.

Staying focused is hard enough in the best of circumstances.  Throw in a collection of obstacles and the odd against success grow even higher.  In the hope that forewarned is forearmed, take a look at a few of the obstacles you can expect to run into and be ready for them.

Selling a Dream -- Excerpts from "Roberts Rules!"

Whether you're selling an idea or a specific product, or raising money for your company or trying to get people to attend a charity event, you need to develop  positive attitude and a razzle-dazzle approach that puts you out in front of the pack.

You have to identify exactly what you are selling.  I found a way to get people excited about something fun and unique.  That's the key .

You have to look beyond the mundane facts of your product or service and find something that people can get excited about, something they are willing to take a risk for.

Everyone has the power and talent to promote and sell something that is unique.  The tough part is getting in touch with that unique selling point.

Go For It! -- Excerpts from "Roberts Rules!"

Marc Roberts, Miami

When you go for it, you'll probably have to sacrifice something you have now:  maybe security, maybe income, maybe status.  This fact will push you in one of two ways.

     1)  You'll either be so nervous about this loss that you won't be able to get anything done, or

     2)  You'll be so determined to make up for the loss that nothing will stop you.

There's no place in the middle.  You have to pick a side.

Learning the Ropes -- Excerpts from "Roberts Rules!"

Marc Roberts, Miami

When people tell you you're crazy, it's a good sign that you're on the right track.  When your competitors tell you you're no good and you're a failure, that means you're on to something big.

Once you decide to go for it, you've got to stay focused.  You've got to eat, breathe, and sleep whatever it is you're doing.

Along the way, Marc Roberts learned that sometimes no matter how hard you work, it's dumb luck that really makes the difference.  Sometimes, working with nothing more than common sense and a willingness to go for what you want with a whole lot of enthusiasm and energy, sets the course for a win.
